Key Responsibilities:

About The Role:

Deliver expert civil engineering support during the detailed design phase of solar and energy storage projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client needs, and regulatory frameworks.

Ensure the safe and efficient integration of civil infrastructure into project designs, with a strong focus on technical quality, safety compliance, schedule adherence, and cost-effectiveness.

Perform in-depth reviews and validations of civil design documentation developed for solar PV and energy storage facilities.

Support the design process and verify internally developed documents to ensure conformance with relevant codes and industry best practices.

Develop or assess technical materials including engineering drawings, specifications, and manuals from vendors or third-party providers.

Assist in analyzing technical proposals and contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of the company’s BESS and solar PV civil engineering solutions.

Offer civil engineering expertise throughout various project phases—development, tendering, construction, and operations—collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Confirm that all civil designs meet the required standards for safety, environmental impact, construction methods, commissioning protocols, and long-term operation.

Participate in the layout and design of civil components for solar and energy storage systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements and best practices.

Support the implementation and advocacy of compliant, technically sound civil engineering solutions, including overseeing documentation for regulatory certification.

Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including clients, internal teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project transparency and alignment.

Proactively identify civil-related project risks and formulate strategic responses to prevent or reduce their impact on project delivery.

Requirements :

Hands-on experience in civil engineering role over 12 months.

AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12D, QGIS, HEC-HMS (v4.7.1), HEC-RAS (v5.0.7), Drains, or equivalent software.

Civil works for substations or solar farms.

Experience navigating regulatory approval processes and delivering designs that meet relevant Australian standards.
