METAL FABRICATOR

Newland Precision Engineering is a privately owned, ISO accredited company specialising in the manufacture of high-quality machinery and equipment for mining, exploration, and mineral processing industries.

With our reputation built on delivering reliable, precision-engineered products, we are expanding and seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team in Bayswater. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting directly to the Fabrication Supervisor.

About the Role

Main responsibilities will include:

Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to a high standard.

Weld components in all positions, primarily MIG (TIG experience is desirable)

Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify cracks, porosity, undercut, or any other defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards.

Report all non-conforming materials, components, or parts, along with any associated hazards or risks, following company quality procedures and WHS requirements.

About you

Trade-qualified Metal Fabricator.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in fabrication or welding roles.

High-level competency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience (Aluminium and Stainless Steel) is highly desirable.

Experience with welding hydraulic cylinders is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Confident in interpreting technical drawings and working to specifications.

Good communication skills and a proactive team attitude.

Current Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence.
