About the role

Unistor Global is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team in Rutherford, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the design and development of innovative structural engineering solutions for our warehouse improvment and mezzanine projects across Australia, New Zealand ans Asia.

What you'll be doing

Designing and developing preliminary structural engineering plans, drawings and specifications

Conducting site inspections, measurements and assessments to inform the design process

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including the drafting team, preconstruction managers, project managers and construction crews, to ensure seamless project delivery.

Conducting engineering analyses and calculations to optimise designs and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations (projects ususally get certified by a 3rd party engineer also)

Preparing approval approval concept drawings for clients.

Providing technical support and advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar design engineering role

Demonstrated expertise in civil and structural engineering design, including the use of CAD software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively

Someone that is passionate about value engineering and hates lazy designs.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

Familiarity with relevant building codes and engineering standards
