Reporting to the Production Manager, an opportunity has become available for a Gravure Print Assistant to join the team at our Preston manufacturing plant.

The Gravure Print Assistant will be responsible for:

Assist in operating print presses safely and efficiently - maximising speed and quality whilst minimising downtime

Communicating issues as they arise within and between shifts

Continuous Improvement and have a positive attitude towards implementing changes to improve Company performance

To be successful in this role you will ideally have or be:

Strong Colour aptitude and eye for detail

Ability to read and write English

Good numeracy skills

Experience in Gravure printing

Good numeracy skills

The ability to work as part of a team

Good communication skills, particularly at change of shifts

Ability to troubleshoot and be clear under pressure

A Forklift license is an advantage, however not essential

An ability to perform quality checks

Methodical and clear headed when under pressure

Ability to safely operate the printing press and other plant and equipment after training
