Randstad is currently working with a Qld Government Department to find a Senior Data Analyst (SAP Data Migration) for an initial 5 Month contract with potential of extension. This role is based in Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Data Analyst, this role will require you to assist and guide organisations transfer their data from one system to another. Activities will include assessing the existing data and systems, mapping data fields and dependencies, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, coordinating with various stakeholders, and providing technical support during the migration process.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you are responsible for:

• Developing capability in the SAP Data Migration Cockpit for data migration.
• Provide insight and problem solving in support of the SAP data migration effort. Assist in the planning and execution of data migration activities.
• Extract data from the legacy systems or sources using SAP S/4HANA migration Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools. (SAP Data Services)
• Coordinate validation of the data extracted to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Data Mapping: Coordinate and undertake mapping of extracted data to the target SAP S/4HANA data structure. Define the data transformation rules and business logic needed to convert the data into the required format for SAP S/4HANA.
• Data Cleansing: Action and coordinate the planned data cleanse and transforming of the data to ensure data quality and integrity. This may involve removing duplicates, standardizing data formats, and resolving data inconsistencies.
• Data Loading: Load the cleansed and transformed data into the SAP S/4HANA system using the appropriate data loading tools and techniques. Monitor the data loading process to ensure successful completion.
• Data Validation and Reconciliation. Coordinate the validation and reconciliation of the loaded data with organisation and key stakeholders to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and consistency with the source data.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• Proven expertise in data conversion methodologies, source system analysis, and data mapping, ensuring seamless integration and transformation of data across systems.
• Extensive experience in executing a full cycle of data migration processes, including planning, extraction, transformation, loading and validation, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex data-related issues. Proficient in reporting and managing defects using defined defect management processes and tools such as SAP Cloud ALM.
• High-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage, consult and present analysed data to a broad range of stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of data classification principles, with a proven ability to manage and protect sensitive data in accordance with established data management and security protocols, ensuring all sensitive data remains secure and protected according to data management processes.

Desirable:

• While not mandatory, a relevant qualification and knowledge of SAP S/4HANA would be well regarded.
