About the Role:
The Clinical Lead plans and coordinates the delivery of designated mental health programs in a professional and ethical way as a member of the Clinical Leadership Group (CLG). The Clinical Lead is an important link with GPs/stakeholders and mental health employees providing mental health expertise and advice to ensure program outcomes are achieved. The role provides leadership for the designated program and includes supporting the planning, development, implementation and review of policies and processes to enhance service delivery.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment;
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical practice in mental health treatment and care, preferably providing therapeutic treatment and/or case management and support
- Proven experience at a senior clinical level within the area of mental health service delivery
- Experience in successfully leading/coordinating a team of staff and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation
- Demonstrated experience in preparation of reports with recommendations.
- Experience working across a range of Commonwealth and State funded mental health programs and ensuring program implementation in line with funding requirements and contracts
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Social Workers – Registered member of the AASW and having AASW Mental Health Accreditation
- Psychologists – Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Registered Nurses – Registered with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
- Occupational Therapists – Registered with the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and AHPRA
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Relevant Leadership or Management Training is desired
- Current registration with one of the following bodies:
