Your opportunity
As a Power Work (Lifter Borer Operator), you'll be a key contributor to the team, assisting our tradespersons to ensure the ongoing reliability of our LV and HV overhead
powerlines and underground infrastructure for our Rockhampton communities.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
- Assist with the construction, maintenance, inspection, and repair of our overhead electrical distribution systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines in and around Rockhampton.
- Perform a range of hands-on duties including general trades assistance and operation of equipment such as lifter/borers, EWPs and forklifts.

What you'll bring:
- A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence (essential).
- Current C2 Slewing Crane High Risk Work Licence (essential).
- Experience in safety observing and ability to actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
We’d also love you to have:
- Current High Risk Work Licence for Forklift, EWP >11m, VLC, Dogging, Basic Rigging (desirable).
- Availability for call out and emergency work and willingness to work overtime as required.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
