Custom Truck Bodies is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator/Vehicle Body Builder to join our team in Molendinar, Queensland. As a Welder Fabricator, you will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality custom truck bodies. This is a full-time opportunity with a reputable and growing company in the trades and services industry.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and assembly of truck bodies, equipment, and components
• Read and interpret engineering diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise fabrication
• Use a variety of welding techniques, including MIG welding, to produce high-quality welds
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, and bending machines to shape and form metal components
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Several years of experience as a Welder Fabricator/Vehicle Body Builder, ideally in the trades and services or manufacturing industries
• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques Required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with colleagues
• Familiarity with operating fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, and bending machines
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace
