About the role

NELSON EXHAUST is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Rocklea, Queensland. This is a casual position with the view to move to full time for the right candidate. You will be responsible for fabricating high-quality custom exhaust systems for the heavy diesel industry.

What you'll be doing

Fabricate and weld exhaust systems to precise specifications

Interpret technical drawings and diagrams to guide the fabrication process

Operate a range of welding equipment, including MIG and TIG

Use hand and power tools to cut, bend and shape exhaust components

Perform quality checks and adjustments to ensure finished products meet required standards

Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as an exhaust fabricator or welder

Strong welding skills and experience with 1.6mm to 3mm materials.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Commitment to delivering high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What we offer

At NELSON EXHAUST, we are offering a 5-day working week 39.5 hours - 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am- 3.30pm Friday. Working in a small team environment.
