As National Support Administrator, you’ll play a central role in ensuring this vital service runs smoothly each day.

Your Role at a Glance:

You’ll be the key administrative contact for the GP Psychiatry Support Line—managing incoming calls and emails, coordinating appointment logistics, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll work closely with GPs, psychiatrists, and internal stakeholders, helping maintain the service’s high standards and responsiveness.

What We’re Looking For

Strong customer service and phone communication skills

A professional and empathetic manner when dealing with medical professionals

Excellent time management and multitasking ability

High attention to detail and data accuracy

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and web-based systems

Ability to work independently and within a team

A commitment to learning and growing in the role

Key Responsibilities:

Answer and manage incoming calls and emails with professionalism and empathy

Connect GPs to psychiatrists and coordinate call-back bookings

Register new GPs to the service

Manage data and reports using online software and Excel

Summarise calls and follow up with GPs

Prepare monthly service reports for key stakeholders

Support a high-performing national team

Contract to cover maternity leave with potential to come on board permanently

Phase 1: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 11:00am (until mid-August 2025)

Phase 2: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm (from August 2025 onward)

Contract: Maternity Leave Cover with the potential for permanency
