An established and forward-thinking accounting firm is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join their team in a role that blends technical excellence with team leadership. About the Role

In this client-facing role, you'll be responsible for reviewing complex tax work, managing compliance, and working closely with Partners and Managers on advisory engagements. A key focus will be mentoring and developing a team of accountants—both locally and offshore—through structured training, performance feedback, and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries

Provide tax planning and advisory services including CGT, FBT, GST, Div 7A, and small business concessions

Lead, train, and review the work of junior and graduate accountants

Contribute to internal training programs and support team performance development

Engage with clients directly, offering tailored advice and maintaining strong professional relationships

Assist with business advisory projects, including restructuring and succession planning

Identify and implement process improvements and uphold technical standards

Keep current with tax legislation and accounting standards, sharing insights with the team

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

CA/CPA qualified or currently completing

4+ years' experience in public practice accounting in Australia

High-level communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency with Xero, and MYOB

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop junior staff
