About the Role:
Reporting to the WSIG Program Manager, we are seeking a proactive and experienced WSIG Design Coordinator to lead and coordinate design outcomes for key infrastructure projects funded under the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) program. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end design process, collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, and ensure delivery aligns with project scope, quality, environmental, and budget objectives. You will also contribute to enhancing public domain and open space outcomes across the region, supporting Council’s commitment to sustainable and high-quality urban design.
the successful candidate will:
Manage and Coordinate Council Design outcomes associated with the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) Projects.
Achieve project delivery goals (encompassing scope, quantity, quality, environmental and cost) by actively coordinating and overseeing the design, and procurement of design contractors.
Collaborate with and coordinate internal Council teams to optimise project design outcomes.
Support the Division on the development, implementation, management and design of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) Projects.
Value management of the design management process in consultation with the WSIG Team, consultants and other Council and external stakeholders.
To be successful in your application you will demonstrate:
Degree qualification in landscape architecture, project management, or other relevant field.
Familiarity with project management tools to assist in the design development process such as Aconex
Demonstrated experience with safety in design process during design and construction.
Current Class C Drivers Licence
General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams including staff, consultants and contractors in delivering large and diverse construction projects

Desirable Criteria
Proved track record of design management related to the construction of large scale, complex infrastructure projects or capital works projects, particularly within a developed urban environment
Knowledge of Local Government procurement and delivery processes would be highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to review design options, including concept and construction drawings and specifications, covering public domain areas and open space projects.
