The Community Services Team comprises Aged Care Assessment Services, Community Allied Health Services, Community Care Services, Carer Support Services, Community Nursing Services and the Referral Centre. The Community Allied Health Services (CAHS) team provides allied health inclusive of Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Podiatry, Fitness for Older Adults Program and Speech Pathology Services to eligible clients in the five Local Government Authorities of Buloke, Campaspe, Gannawarra, Loddon and the City of Greater Bendigo. The team work to support clients to live independently at home and in the community.

CAHS is collocated with the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) program, which also provides services to clients in the Loddon Mallee region.

The program is funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), Home Care Packages and Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP). Community Allied Health Services also delivers services to NDIS participants. Community Allied Health Services are available to people who are:

· Over 65 years (over 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders), or

· Have a disability

The Grade Two Physiotherapist is responsible for the provision of Physiotherapy Services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Grade Two level Physiotherapists are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing constructively to the interdisciplinary team.

The purpose of this position is to:

provide best practice client centred clinical care to clients within the designated caseload in Community Allied Health Services of Bendigo Health

provide a senior level of experience and supervision to grade 1 and undergraduate student health professionals

collaborate with key stakeholders, and may also include provision of contract services

contribute to the development of the Community Allied Health service, as well as the general Physiotherapy department as appropriate.

The Grade Two Exercise Physiologist is responsible for the provision of Exercise Physiology services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Grade Two level Exercise Physiologists are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing constructively to the interdisciplinary team.

The purpose of this position is to:

provide best practice client centred clinical care to clients within the designated caseload and Fitness for Older Adults Program (FOAP) in Community Allied Health Services of Bendigo Health

provide a senior level of experience and supervision to grade 1, Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate student health professional

collaborate with key stakeholders, and may also include provision of contract services

contribute to the development of Community Allied Health Services, as well as the general Exercise Physiology department as appropriate
