We are a dedicated and growing water infrastructure maintenance company committed to the highest standards of asset care, safety, and compliance. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Water Reservoir Inspection Officer to join our team.
About the Role
As a Water Reservoir Inspection Officer, you will be responsible for conducting routine and scheduled inspections across a variety of reservoir sites. Each inspection type is defined by specific client and regulatory standards, and your role is key in ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and maintained to the highest quality.
You will follow set routes across various sites and be expected to meet defined timeframes and inspection protocols. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently in the field, has a keen eye for detail, and is confident following set procedures and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled inspections of water reservoir infrastructure including:
Security inspections
Bushfire risk assessments
Roof and external wall condition inspections
Supervise inspection teams
Complete detailed reports and photographic records in accordance with our reporting procedures and client requirements
Follow set routes and adhere strictly to timeframes and inspection cycles
Identify potential issues or hazards and escalate as per protocols
Maintain accurate records of all inspections using digital tools and templates
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders where required
Ensure all work is carried out with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and environmental awareness
What We’re Looking For
Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
Demonstrated experience in supervisory roles within a team is highly desirable
Ability to follow set procedures, schedules, and protocols without deviation
Confidence working independently and outdoors in varied environments
Experience in construction, asset maintenance, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous
Previous experience with routine site inspections (e.g., fire ant inspections, vegetation management, site audits) highly regarded
Strong communication and reporting skills
Basic digital literacy – ability to use tablets or smartphones for reporting
A current and valid driver’s licence (mandatory)
White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain
Desirable Qualifications (or willingness to obtain):
Certificate or training in asset inspection, WHS, or related fields
Working at heights or confined space tickets
