Advance Your Career with Restofix Services
Now Hiring: Restoration Technicians (Full-Time)
Restofix Services is one of Western Australia’s leading providers of end-to-end restoration services, trusted by insurers, property owners, and builders alike. We specialise in restoring residential and commercial buildings impacted by water, fire, mould, and storm events — delivering professional, timely, and compliant restoration outcomes.
Backed by our long-standing partnership with WA Insurance Builders, we work collaboratively to offer a fully integrated restoration-to-repair solution that supports our clients from the first emergency callout to full completion of building works.
Due to ongoing growth and increased demand, we are currently seeking full-time Restoration Technicians to join our expanding field team.
About the Role
As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for executing the restoration process from initial damage mitigation through to post-restoration verification. This includes on-site assessments, equipment setup and monitoring, environmental testing, contents handling, and detailed reporting.
You will respond to both scheduled and emergency jobs, ranging from minor domestic incidents to large-scale commercial property losses. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, professionalism, and attention to detail, along with a compassionate and respectful approach to working in clients’ homes or businesses.
This is a physically active, technically engaging role that offers excellent variety and the chance to be part of a trusted and respected team.
Key Responsibilities
• Attend properties affected by water, fire, mould, and storm damage to conduct restoration work
• Complete site assessments, including moisture mapping, air-quality readings, and mould sampling
• Set up and monitor restoration equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, injectidry systems)
• Perform structural drying, odour control, mould remediation, and sanitisation tasks to industry standards
• Handle and clean affected contents, identifying salvageable and non-salvageable items
• Accurately document findings, restoration progress, and inventory using digital systems
• Prepare and submit job notes, damage reports, and scope summaries for insurance reporting
• Communicate clearly and professionally with insured clients, site contacts, builders, and internal teams
• Collaborate with our construction division (WA Insurance Builders) to deliver cohesive project outcomes
• Participate in a rotating on-call roster to respond to after-hours emergencies when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates who are practical, safety-conscious, and eager to learn in a growing industry. While prior experience is highly regarded, we provide structured onboarding and access to nationally recognised qualifications for the right individuals.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A strong desire to learn and grow in the restoration industry
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, trades, or cleaning services
• IICRC certification (Water Restoration Technician, Applied Microbial Remediation, or equivalent) — desirable but not essential
• A trade background (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.) – highly regarded
• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and follow defined procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and reporting
• Competence with mobile apps or field-based job management software
• A current manual C-Class driver’s licence (essential)
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including some after-hours or weekend availability for emergency call-outs
• A current police clearance or willingness to obtain one
What We Offer
At Restofix Services, we prioritise our people and their growth. We offer structured career progression and invest in the upskilling of our technicians through practical training, formal qualifications, and access to the latest tools and technologies.
You can expect:
• Full-time, permanent employment with competitive industry rates
• A professional, team-oriented workplace with a strong safety culture
• Ongoing training and mentoring from senior restoration professionals
• Access to our in-house training centre in Neerabup with IICRC course pathways
• Paid external certification opportunities (e.g., WRT, AMRT, Fire & Smoke Restoration)
• Opportunities to diversify your experience across domestic, commercial, and major loss claims
• Collaboration with WA’s most respected insurance builders and loss adjusters
• Uniforms, mobile device access, PPE, and fully equipped company vehicle
