What Will You Be Doing?
In this role, you’ll act as the 2IC and support to the Clinical Services Manager, leading the supervision and development of a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners. You will drive onboarding, training, and ongoing clinical development while ensuring service quality, compliance, and ethical best practices remain the priority. You will promote clinical excellence, stay up to date with NDIS requirements, and deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support plans. A key part of your role will involve supporting the team with complex caseloads, including people with behaviours of concern that families, carers, and/or members of the community find challenging.
What You’ll Bring:
- Relevant Allied Health degree
- 2 years as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Proficient (or working toward proficient) under the NDIS PBS Capability Framework
- Demonstrated leadership skills that showcase leading by example, responsiveness and initiative
- Deep understanding of Restrictive Practices, the NDIS Practice Standards & NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission guidelines.
- Ability to supervise, support targets, and balance billable hours
- Strong written, verbal and relational communication skills
- Sound knowledge of the DHS Restrictive Practices Guidelines
- Experience in diverse settings such as homes, hospitals, community & prisons.
- Highly organised, ethical, creative and solutions-focused
Mandatory Requirements:
As a disability service provider, Allora Options takes its duty of care to safeguard vulnerable people seriously and recognises that we must maintain the highest standards of conduct. Therefore, all positions within Allora Options are required to:
- a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- a current NDIS Worker Check
- a current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)
- complete the NDIS Workers Orientation and New Worker Induction Module.
- be First-Aid and CPR Certified
- to understand and comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct, and associated policies.
- any and all other relevant checks required.
