Our well established Eden Private Hospital is a 48 bed rehabilitation/sub-acute medical hospital located in the idyllic Noosa Hinterland township of Cooroy. Eden Private Hospital is dedicated to excellence through the provision of compassionate quality care, teamwork, and innovation.

Applications are being sought from suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists who are enthusiastic and eager to assist individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals in collaboration with our experienced team of allied health professionals, nurses and rehabilitation specialists.

About the Role

Overall responsibility for patient care and contribution to the rehabilitation programs at Eden Private Hospital. These include (but not limited to) stroke and other neurological conditions, orthopaedic, cardiopulmonary and other general medical conditions.

The Occupational Therapists primary focus is on the following:

Provide functional assessments and clinical reviews for all patients admitted for rehabilitation and medical patients as required

Ensuring effective and safe delivery of patient care in a rehabilitation and medical setting

Participate in multidisciplinary clinical review meetings

Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and knowledge base of rehabilitation programs relevant to a hospital setting

Ensure adherence to evidence based best practice & national standards are met in the provision of quality services

Review and report on clinical outcome measures and patient satisfaction activities

Actively contribute and collaborate as a member of Eden’s multidisciplinary team

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a similar role or at least two years’ experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting

Highly developed patient assessment and management skills

Strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills

Focus on service improvement for delivery of excellent patient care and positive patient outcomes

Effective time management and coordination skills

Demonstrated high standards of professional and ethical practice

Promotes safety, security and personal integrity in the work place

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

FIM credentialled

Mandatory Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent

Registration with AHPRA

Clinical experience in medical and/or rehabilitation hospital settings

Current driver's license
