Direct Focus Solutions (DFS) is a multidisciplinary practice providing allied health, disability and community supports, and an extensive range of clinical therapies. We are currently seeking a qualified allied health professional who is endorsed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, such as a Social Worker or Psychologist, to join our clinical team in Southwestern Sydney as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

About this role:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner under Direct Focus Solutions, you will have the opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals within Sydney. You will join a provider that has attracted a range of practitioners across diverse fields such as psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and disability and community support work. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to develop behaviour support plans, therapy plans, and individual/group programmes for private clients and NDIS participants, and provide behaviour support services to assist them as necessary. You will have the opportunity to apply your specialist knowledge to assist a wide array of individuals with emotional, mental, physiological, or behavioural concerns. This will occur through the processes of assessment, formulation and diagnosis based on neurological, biological, social, and psychological factors, and applying therapeutic behaviour support interventions using evidence-based modalities. This role entails working with a diverse range of clients across a number of settings such as homes, schools, community settings, and our clinic located in Campbelltown of Southwest Sydney.

Requirements:

Be an NDIS-endorsed and registered Behaviour Support Practitioner

Experience working with NDIS participants

Experience and qualifications, certification, and/or approved degrees in social work, psychology, nursing, or a related discipline

Maintain appropriate registrations (e.g. AHPRA for Psychologist and AASW for Social Worker)

Be committed to the values and principles the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Behaviour Support Capability Framework

Have a passion for supporting clients from all cultures and backgrounds

Professional communication and report writing skills

Ability to travel to clients to facilitate in-person service delivery

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Applicants must also possess, or be willing to obtain the following, prior to employment:

Driver’s License and own vehicle

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

NDIS Worker’s Check (NDISWC)

Police Check
