Help shape the future of trades in the Northern Territory as a specialist Apprenticeships Mentor. You'll champion diversity by supporting women entering traditionally male-dominated trades and apprentices with disabilities, while occasionally collaborating on indigenous apprenticeship mentors.
Your role will involve:
- Delivering personalised mentoring to help apprentices overcome challenges and thrive in their chosen trades
- Building strong partnerships with employers to create inclusive workplaces and tackle unconscious bias
- Ensuring smooth apprenticeship progression through active monitoring and support
- Managing relationships with training organisations and service providers
- Problem-solving and mediating when challenges arise
- Tracking and reporting on program success to drive continuous improvement

About GTNT Group - Australian Apprenticeship Support Services
GTNT Group hold the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services contract for the Northern Territory. As part of this contract, we are responsible for managing and processing training contracts, government incentives and apprentice and employer information. The Australian Apprenticeship Support Services team also promotes Australian Apprenticeships by providing information at shows, exhibitions, industry forums, workplaces, schools, employer and community groups.
Salary Package:
- Salary Level 5 $73,6125 pa - $88,305 pa
- Plus superannuation contribution
This is reduced by $5,500 pa for the company motor vehicle contribution. This contribution covers all expenses for the fuel such as: insurance, maintenance, registration and fuel. Vehicle is a mandatory requirement for the role, however can be used for full private use (within company policy).
Starting salary rate will depend on previous experience and knowledge that you bring to the position. Knowledge of the Australian Apprenticeship system, trade industries and case management will be highly regarded.

This position allows for the successful applicant to build client relationships, promote Australian Apprenticeship pathways and travel throughout the Northern Territory.
What we're looking for:
To be successful the applicant will be required to meet the following key requirements:
- Ability to be systematic in approach to work whilst complying with relevant guidelines, procedures, deadlines, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to develop professional correspondence to a high standard.
- Work semi-autonomously, set own goals and daily programs and report on progress to team members and other staff.
- High level of experience with the use of Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn new client management database programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Apprenticeships system.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse client groups.
- Ability to create relationships and network with key stakeholders
- Commitment and motivation to achieve high quality outcomes by meeting or exceeding KPI’s and set targets.
- Ability to travel throughout the Northern Territory for extended periods.
