Our client is an already successful and growing company providing specialised services and equipment into the mining sector. Situated in Ascot, our client needs a skilled and experienced ‘hands-on’ Accountant to manage a wide range of responsibilities in a busy and dynamic business environment.

Reporting to the Company Directors, your accounting knowledge, attention to detail and ability to analyse and improve processes and financial management will be highly valued as you drive positive financial outcomes across multiple entities.

Major responsibilities will include:

· Oversee AP, AR, Payroll and operations to ensure efficient processes and successful outcomes

· Reconciliations for intercompany accounts and inventory

· Reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and month-end procedures including journals, variance analysis and capital project tracking

· Preparation of monthly BAS and liaison with external accounting firm

· Provide commercial insights and advice across the company

· Contribute to internal control processes and governance, compliance and internal audits as required

What you can offer to the role and our client:

· At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in a mining or a heavy industry sector

· Relevant, recognised qualifications in Accounting

· Advanced computing skills and experience with MYOB, Pronto, MS Excel and Power Bl would be highly valued

· Proven excellence in your attention to detail, ability to solve problems, analytical skills and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues and management.

· Strong communication skills and a professional yet ‘hands-on’ approach to your work in a down-to-earth office environment.

· Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

· Have long-term, permanent working rights in Australia and currently be residing in WA.
