A bit about the role
As a Visitor Liaison and Security Officer you will be the first point of contact to welcome visitors attending Bunjil Place, providing excellent and informative customer service in a welcoming and friendly manner.
As part of your role, you will maintain and preserve the safe environment of the precinct by resolving and de-escalating issues in an empathetic, respectful, and professional manner.
We currently have multiple casual opportunities across our operating hours of 7 days per week, from 7am – 10:30pm weekdays, and 8am – 10:30pm on weekends
What you’ll deliver
- Excellent customer service to all Bunjil Place visitors ensuring the best possible experience is received by all staff, clients, and visitors.
- Professional and suitable security services, creating a safe environment for the use and preservation of the precinct for all.
- Promote strong levels of safety perception through visibility and proactive engagement.
- Effectively respond to high-risk concerns and emergencies such as active threats, lockdowns, anti-social behaviours or conflict ensuring safety with appropriate sensitivity to all.
- Provide timely reports of incidents or near misses
- Maintain knowledge of the precinct, its history and current and future events, and provide support and information enhancing their customer experience.
What you’ll bring
- A friendly, welcoming and engaging approach to customer service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse audience.
- Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Good conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts across our hours of operation
- Certificate II in Security Operations including crowd control and security guard.
- Level 2 First Aid.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
