At Whyte Gardens, we’re passionate about creating breathtaking, high-end outdoor spaces. Based in Melbourne, we’re known for our craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. We're currently on the lookout for a Crew Leader and Qualified Landscaper to join our growing team.

We are based in Hastings but work both on the Mornington Peninsula and in the Eastern & Bayside suburbs of Melbourne, on high-end projects and we design in-house.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated landscaper who is:
- Highly skilled with a minimum of 2+ years post-apprenticeship experience
- Proficient in a variety of trades, including decking, paving, and building pergolas
- Focused on high-end residential projects, typically lasting between 1 to 2 months
- Ready to lead a team of three landscapers, working alongside three designers
- Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused

You'll be hands-on with project delivery while mentoring junior staff and ensuring timelines and quality expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day operations on-site
- Coordinate tasks and lead a small landscaping crew
- Read and interpret landscape plans
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and the office team
- Ensure safety, quality, and timelines are maintained
- Participate in construction activities (paving, decking, pergolas, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 2+ years’ experience post-apprenticeship in landscape construction
- Proven leadership ability or desire to step into a crew leader role
- Certificate III in Landscape Construction (preferred)
- Sound knowledge of materials, tools, and construction techniques
- Current driver's licence
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Availability to work Monday to Friday (7:30am - 3:30pm)
