About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Lecturer in Law, either as a Teaching Specialist (Academic) or Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner), to join the College of Business, Government and Law.
The successful candidate will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across a broad range of Law topics, with a particular focus on Priestley subjects, especially Evidence Law, Employment Law, and International Law.
The role involves making an independent and sustained contribution to teaching, curriculum development, and the scholarship of teaching. Applicants should demonstrate innovative approaches to legal education, including the effective use of teaching technologies and inclusive learning practices.
This role offers the chance to shape the learning experience of future legal professionals in a supportive, collaborative academic environment that values innovation, teaching excellence, and real-world legal engagement.

About You
You are an engaging and student-focused educator with strong oral and written communication skills. You build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners, and bring a collaborative, inclusive approach to teaching. You have experience in delivering high-quality learning using online platforms and digital tools, and you are committed to creating a supportive and interactive learning environment that places students at the centre of educational experience.
In this role you will also demonstrate:
- Completion of a PhD or EdD, or equivalent qualification in Law.
- Experience of significant teaching and learning experience and excellence at a tertiary level.
- Evidence of use of learning and teaching approaches which enhance student success.
- Evidence of successful and independent innovation in learning and teaching delivery or design, including use of e-learning technologies.
