About us:

Broadbeach Waters Kindergarten is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that has been operating for over 50 years. Our centre is a single unit with two groups of children (maximum 22 per group). These children attend 8.30am-2.45pm during the school term calendar.

Group 1 attends Monday, Tuesday & alternate Wednesday (5 day fortnight)

Group 2 attends Thursday, Friday & alternate Wednesday (5 day fortnight)

Our Kindergarten is currently looking for an educator to support the inclusion of children in the program that attend in Group 1- Monday, Tuesday & alternate Wednesday).

The position begins in Term 3 (July), 2025.

Hours of work would be from 9.30am-2.30pm on these days (approximately 10-15 hours per week).

The successful applicant will have:

Hold a Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care or higher

Previous experience in a similar role assisting children with additional needs

Current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis

Previous experience working with the 3-5 age group is desirable

Understanding of your duties as an Educator and be a team player

Passion for creating and delivering a stimulating learning environment

An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment

Awareness of the National Quality Framework, and Queensland Kindergarten guidelines

Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories

An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Teacher ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met.
