About the role

We're looking for a Dock Master to join our team at Freedom Boat Club in Sydney, NSW. In this casual role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our boat club's docks, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for our members. With your passion for the water and customer service expertise, you'll play a key part in the success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

Manage the daily operations and maintenance of our boat club's docks and launching facilities

Assist members with launching, docking and retrieving their boats, providing exceptional customer service

Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the docks are well-organised and clean

Monitor boat traffic and coordinate the efficient use of dock space

Perform light maintenance and repairs on dock equipment as needed

Liaise with the club management team to address any issues or concerns

What we're looking for

Strong knowledge of boat handling, docking procedures and safety best practices

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with a diverse range of people

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to address issues as they arise

A passion for the water and boating lifestyle

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
