We are a well-established paediatric speech therapy clinic located in Melbourne’s inner north-east, seeking a warm and experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our collaborative and creative team. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about working directly with children and families, and who thrives in a supportive, family-focused environment.

Our play-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach helps children build language, confidence, and meaningful connections through storytelling, play, drawing, music, and more. We support children aged 1–12 and are deeply embedded within our local community.

Start Date

Mid-September 2025, with flexibility based on your availability. A full week of shadowing and handover will be provided to support a smooth transition.

Position Types

Full-Time – Salaried Employee

Part-Time (Mon/Wed/Fri) – Salaried Employee

Subcontractor (Mon/Wed/Fri)

Primarily hub based role, e.g. limited mobile work required.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality speech therapy to children aged 1–12 years

Support a broad range of needs including early language, speech sound disorders, literacy, language delays, social communication, and neurodiverse support

Provide family-centred care, parent coaching, and education

Participate in collaborative case discussions within a multidisciplinary team

Option to contribute to group programs (e.g. school readiness, play-based social groups)

Assist families with NDIS planning, documentation, and reviews

Salary & Remuneration

Salaried Roles (Full-Time or Part-Time):
FTE = $100,000 – $120,000 plus superannuation (commensurate with experience) + PD + Travel Allowance

Subcontractor Role:
$125 – $150 per hour -(commensurate with experience)

Please note: For the subcontractor model includes payment for direct client-facing billable hours only. However, all administrative support—including scheduling, client communications, logistics, and room use—is fully managed by the clinic as part of our hub-based model.

This model may suit a returning-to-work speech pathologist seeking flexible, ad-hoc hours. It’s ideal for someone who can work independently while still looking for a collaborative team environment and access to a supportive, shared workspace.

About You

Experienced paediatric Speech Pathologist with current SPA membership

Confident managing a broad paediatric caseload using a play-based, family-centred approach

Warm, collaborative, and a strong team contributor

Holds a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Available to commence from mid-September 2025 (flexible by negotiation)
