Our client is an engineering company, specialising in Cooling Tower manufacture and maintenance.

They are seeking 2 reliable and safety-conscious Trade Assistant to support the cleaning and maintenance of cooling towers. You will work as part of a team responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and performing basic maintenance tasks on cooling towers in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the cleaning and decontamination of cooling towers using high-pressure water systems and cleaning agents
• Support tradespeople during maintenance and inspection procedures
• Set up and pack down work areas safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Remove debris, algae, and scale build-up from tower basins, fills, fans, and other components
• Ensure proper waste disposal and site clean-up after job completion

Requirements:

• Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
• Basic mechanical aptitude or previous experience with tools preferred
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• White Card (Construction Induction) - mandatory
• Confined Space Entry ticket - mandatory
• Working at Heights ticket - mandatory
• Valid driver's license
