About the role:
As a Smart Water Meter Technician this role will require you to assist with initial installation of smart meter systems across Australia for local governments. Troubleshoot issues with existing smart meter fleets to diagnose and re-mediate issues.
Candidates should be comfortable and happy working in an outdoor and physically demanding environment. This role involves working in all weather and terrain conditions.
This role is suited to university students who are keen to study part-time while earning circa $80,000 per annum while working. We are looking for someone who is accurate, dedicated, self-motivated and interested in earning competitive remuneration in a flexible, study supported environment. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to receive full training and valuable work experience while developing their career in a growing business.
As a Smart Water Meter Technician, your responsibilities include:
Obtaining and entering meter readings and information into a handheld data device
Installing Automated Meter Readers (AMRs)
Driving and walking to defined locations (including being able/willing to drive long distances)
Working independently and in a team to meet deadlines
Effectively communicating with colleagues and customers
To be considered for this role, you will have:

Ability to take direction well
A current driver’s licence (automatic)
A high regard for health, safety and the environment
Ability to work autonomously in the field
A reliable, punctual and dedicated attitude
Ability to deliver quality results while adhering to deadlines
