We are seeking a driven and hands-on Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our onsite "The Deck" Restaurant and merchandise outlet.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth operation of all F&B services, while maintaining high standards of customer service, staff engagement, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on position ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced resort environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day management of restaurant and merchandise operations.

Supervise and support a diverse team of front-of-house and kitchen staff.

Drive exceptional guest service across all touchpoints.

Coordinate rosters, stock ordering, and cost controls, as required.

Ensure compliance with RSA and food safety standards.

Lead by example with a strong presence during peak service periods.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding and staff training.

Collaborate with other departments to enhance the guest experience.

About You:

Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience in hospitality or F&B operations.

Valid RMLV required.

Valid Food Safety Supervisor required.

Exceptional leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and support your team.

Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Knowledge of bar service, POS systems, and stock control procedures.

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.

Valid QLD First Aid and CPR highly regarded (ability to complete throughout employment required).
