Who are Jellybeans Music?

We are Sydney's leading outsourced classroom music provider in Primary. We have a team of talented, motivated and experienced classroom teachers that go out to schools and teach the Jellybeans Music program. We teach around 6000 students per year in our programs across a growing number of Government and Catholic Primary schools in Sydney.

What is this role?

We require 1-2 more Primary Classroom Music Specialists to join our wonderful team and teach our highly successful music programs in Sydney Primary schools. Specifically in the areas of Western Sydney, Southern Sydney and Liverpool regions. ESSENTIAL requirements for this role:

Bachelor of Music degree;

Diploma of Education and/or Masters of Teaching

NESA Accredited (current or applying for)

Experience in Primary or Secondary classroom music. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2-5 years classroom teaching experience.

Own vehicle to travel to schools

Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle required

Must be willing to travel up to 30km between schools within Western/Southern Sydney regions ($15 additional travel paid per day)

This role is for Term 3-4, 2025 for 2-3 days per week in Western/Southern Sydney schools.
You will be placed at a school for a full term to teach classroom music (incl. singing; recorder; glockenspiels; solfege). You must have your own vehicle to travel to schools.

Teaching hours are between 8:30am - 3:30pm, with 1-2 full school days required per week

Skills and Requirements

Degree (Bachelor of Music Ed/Music/Education)

Diploma of Education and/or Masters Of Teaching (please do not apply without one)

Nesa accreditation

Classroom teaching/classroom management experience is ESSENTIAL. We will not look at an application without this. Can be in Primary or Secondary preferably in music (naturally!)

Strong music skills. You will be singing; moving; playing recorder; playing percussion and glockenspiel; teaching solfege - so you'll need good music skills to be able to do this. You don't have to be Taylor Swift, nor Yehudi Menuin for this role but strong basic skills are essential.

Confident vocal ability to lead classroom singing

Demonstrated ability to teach basic recorder and percussion instruments
