About the role
emOTe Occupational Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. There is a full-time and part-time position available, where you will play a key role in supporting our clients' rehabilitation and/or overall wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
We are currently seeking a fully registered Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Plan, deliver and evaluate discipline specific clinical services across various settings, including schools, day programs, community activities and within the home environment
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and guide therapy assistants to deliver effective clinical based interventions
Evaluate clients physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to support their independence
Provided 1:1 intervention with clients and their caregivers
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, progress notes and reports in line with NDIS and organisational requirements
Educate and empower clients, families and caregivers through training, resources, and ongoing support
Stay up to date with current best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Assist in onboarding and mentoring junior therapists or students as part of emOTe’s commitment to team development
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement
Working with children's check (or willingness to obtain)
Police check (or willingness to obtain)
Vaccination record - including seasonal flu vaccination
Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance - minimum $10,000,000 (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
