About the role
This is a full-time Management Role within the French's IGA Youngtown' supermarket in Youngtown, Tasmania. As a member of the store leadership team, you will play a pivotal part in driving the success and growth of this dynamic retail business. The role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your management skills and make a tangible impact on the customer experience.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer service
Leading, coaching and motivating a team of retail associates to achieve sales and operational targets
Analysing store performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective strategies
Maintaining stock levels, ordering inventory and overseeing the visual merchandising of the store
Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that aligns with the company's values
Resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and security regulations
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the grocery, fresh food or supermarket industry
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a customer-centric approach
Proficient in analysing and interpreting sales data to drive business performance
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Passion for the retail industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
