Are you looking for a new challenge and amazing job satisfaction? Would you like the flexibility of being able to work around kinder/school drop-offs/pick ups, with no requirement to work during the school holidays? Would you like to join our dynamic team delivering our award-winning programme to parents and their babies?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and lead Baby Sensory classes in Everton Park on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Your experience:

-Full Training is provided and while no formal qualifications are necessary; reliability, organisation, confidence and enthusiasm are absolutely key to this role.

- experience working with children is highly desirable
- knowledge of Baby Sensory/Toddler Sense or previous attendance is highly desirable

The roll is approx. 10 Hours/week, 40 weeks per year with opportunity to do more hours and growth within the company.

About You:

Due to the nature of this role we are looking for LONG TERM commitment so please only apply if you have these interests at heart.

We’re looking for someone who can engage a room with enthusiasm whilst being tuned into the vibe of the group; ensuring that every parent and baby is relaxed and able to participate to the extent that they feel comfortable at any given time.

If you are currently studying or have children at school/kinder or in day care and are therefore not looking for full-time work - this position may be ideal as the daily work hours are between 4 and 5 hours a day with an 8:15am starting time. There is a minimum requirement to work 40 weeks per year which match to the Queensland school terms meaning you never have to work during school or kinder holidays.

You need to have your own car with a good sized boot and be relatively physically fit as there is some lifting and bending required, and plenty of walking.

You are paid weekly for a 2 hour block of prep time which you can do whenever and wherever suits you; this time includes collecting the kit needed to run classes, as well as working on-site at three of our locations to run classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. (on site days will start at 4 hours and increase to 5 hours with demand).

Here’s some additional buzz words we would use to describe the personality of our ideal Class Leader:

• Warm, friendly, nurturing personality

• Trustworthy, honest and reliable

• Have a strong attention to detail

• Great at solving problems/thinking creatively

• Self motivated and positive

• Outgoing and fun

What's it like being a Baby Sensory Class Leader?

You would begin by shadowing Annelize/Mel and, once familiar with setting up and how our days run, you would start leading some activities. Online Baby Sensory Class Leader training is facilitated by Head Office and will run on 6th and 7th August. Attendance at this online training is compulsory. By the end of this virtual training and your shadowing period you will feel fully prepared and will be able to confidently lead classes in your venue/s.

As a Baby Sensory Class Leader each week you will:

• Pick up the equipment required for the classes that week from our storage base in Albany Creek or Wooloowin and pack into your car for transport to the class venues (equipment required for classes is different every week).

• Prepare and practice at home (remuneration for this is included in the salary package, as is the time required to collect and return the equipment) – ensuring that you are confident in delivering activities and developmental information, and that you know the music well enough to sing along

• Unload and set up equipment at the venue in time for families to start arriving.

• Lead 2-3 Baby Sensory classes; following a detailed lesson plan that you have already prepared for

• Clean, sanitise and re-set equipment between classes.

• Pack up and sanitise equipment in preparation for the next day of classes.

• Take lots of gorgeous photos and videos of babies and their parents enjoying your classes so we can show off on social media.

• Repeat the above the following day before dropping the equipment back to our storage unit.
