Job Connect has partnered with a leading, national brand in Building Supplies seeking workers across Timber and Steel Framing as well as skilled Forklift Operators in the Forest Lake area.

This force in manufacturing has opened a brand new facility and are seeking to build new teams of new and experienced staff across their business. They are an excellent business renowned for their positive culture and work environment making them known for excellent retention of long term staff!

Timber Workers - $33.64 – $35.00 / hr + Penalties

Working across:

• Timber Saw – operating bench and electric saws to prepare lengths for frame assembly
• Timber Truss – using a jig and press to assemble timber lengths to pressed frames for dispatch
• Frame Assembly/Nailing – using nail guns to assemble key timber components for framing assembly

Ideal workers will have any prior timber, hand or power tool experience as well as machine or saw operating experience. Experienced Labourers will also be considered for training!

Steel Framing Workers $33.64 – $35.00 / hr + Penalties

Using roll form machines to turn light gauge steel into framing with the use of hand and power tools to assemble.

Ideal applicants will have any machine operating experience or any prior experience in the steel industry!

Forklift Operators - $37.50 / hr + Penalties

Operating Counterbalance Forklifts to carry packs of timber up to 6m in length – ideal for skilled Forklift Operators that know how to prioritise safety and care over speed!

Ideal applicants will have any background in the use of Counterbalance forklift with long and/or flimsy loads as well as truck loading/unloading experience. Given the nature of the loads, a safe and experienced operator is best for this position.

As part of loading frames and trusses onto trucks, you will be required to sling loads for the driver requiring a High Risk Dogging Ticket – applicants with an existing ticket are highly desirable however the company will train skilled staff to obtain.

The roles offer:

• $33.64 / hr + Penalties for inexperienced workers requiring industry training
• $35.00 / hr + Penalties for workers with some tool/machine operating experience
• $37.50 /hr + Penalties for experienced Framing Workers and Forklift Operators
