About Us

AIMCRAFT PTY. LTD. is a Melbourne-based digital development company specialising in responsive website design, mobile app development, e-commerce solutions, and WordPress-based CMS platforms. We deliver smart, user-focused digital experiences to help businesses succeed across industries.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a full-time Software Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technically capable and collaborative developer who is passionate about building high-quality web and mobile applications with a strong user experience focus.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and mobile applications tailored to client requirements, using modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Flutter, ensuring seamless cross-platform functionality and optimal performance.

Collaborate with other developer and project administrator to convert wireframes and prototypes into fully functional digital products, ensuring a high standard of usability, accessibility, and visual appeal.

Build, configure, and extend e-commerce websites using platforms such as WooCommerce and Shopify, including secure payment gateway integration, shopping cart optimisation, and third-party service connectors (e.g., shipping APIs, inventory systems).

Develop customised CMS-based solutions, with a strong focus on WordPress, including theme development, plugin integration, and performance tuning to support scalable and client-specific content management workflows.

Identify and address front-end and back-end performance issues, conducting code reviews, browser/device compatibility testing, and implementing caching or optimisation strategies to improve load speed and responsiveness.

Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and technical specification drafting to coding, version control, deployment, and maintenance, while ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry best practices.

Prepare thorough technical documentation for websites, mobile apps, and CMS systems to support both internal development continuity and client knowledge transfer.

Participate in QA processes including test plan creation, automated and manual testing, bug fixing, and regression testing to ensure product stability across updates and enhancements.

Support project planning by contributing accurate time estimates, identifying potential risks, and recommending scalable technical approaches aligned with project goals.

Continuously evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and development tools, sharing insights with the team and applying selected innovations to improve product quality and development efficiency.

Provide post-deployment technical support, troubleshooting issues, and implementing updates or customisations based on user feedback and evolving client requirements.

Engage in regular team meetings and client communications to report progress, clarify project scope, and align development priorities with business objectives.

Requirements

· Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in software development, web development, or mobile app development within a professional environment.

· A Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

· Proficiency with version control tools, software testing methodologies, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

· Solid understanding of modern front-end and/or back-end frameworks, with the ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and performance optimisation.

· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to collaborate within a cross-functional development team.

· A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies or project requirements.

Why Join AIMCRAFT

You will work in a collaborative, innovative, and supportive environment where your technical ideas and contributions are valued. We focus on producing meaningful digital products and helping our team grow professionally.
