Uber has recently launched Uber Direct, a last-mile, on-demand, delivery service for business customers. The last-mile delivery market is estimated to be worth upwards of $7.5b AUD in Australia, with rapidly increasing consumer preference for on-demand services. Uber Direct has the potential to support on-demand delivery across a range of customer verticals - restaurants, supermarkets, non-food retailers, and many more use cases yet to be discovered.

In this role, you will build and maintain excellent operational processes, conduct data analysis and insights generation, and support the growth of Uber Direct with projects. This is a dynamic role. You’ll need to be willing to both roll up your sleeves, and lead high profile, complex initiatives at the same time.

Start Date: ASAP. 6 month placement.

Location: Melbourne

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm

Uniform: Business Casual

Pay rate: $46.83/hr + super

What You’ll Do:

- Manage the day-to-day operational and analytical tasks

- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights and recommendations

- Build and maintain dashboards for business reporting and performance tracking

- Monitor operational performance of Uber Direct, and identify opportunities for improvement

- Collaborate with a diverse group of cross-functional team members to deliver best in analytical reporting and insights

- Support Operations, Commercial and S&P projects

What You’ll Need:

- A proven track record; we are looking for someone 3+ years experience (can be partially through university coursework), with strong analytical skills, excellent problem solving skills and experience with data-driven decision-making

- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving working environment

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn new things quickly

- Proactivity, always looking for continuous improvement opportunities

- Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities

- Must be advanced with Google Sheets and SQL
