As we continue to grow, we’re excited to offer a permanent full-time opportunity for enthusiastic Auto Electrician to join our dedicated team, based at our Yatala depot.

The Opportunity

This role is essential in ensuring the comprehensive diagnosis, repair, servicing and testing of electrical and electronic systems on a variety of trucks and pumping systems in our superior and effective fleet of delivery trucks. It’s perfect for a hands-on, qualified and experienced individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

Identifying and testing malfunctions in electrical components in tanks and trucks and replacing them where necessary

Identifying electrical and electronic malfunctions

Ability to install Truck Camera and other safety devices. Overlook the scheduled maintenance

Install and manage vehicle tracking devices with external antennas

Proficient in installing driver behaviour system on all motor vehicles and running diagnosis reports for management.

Skilled in installation and maintenance of Smart ignition system such as Face recognition, Breath Analyser etc

Working with electrical and electronic assemblies and components and being able to remove pieces if necessary

Ensuring power supplies are appropriately connected to power operated vehicles and accessories

Installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles

Repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring

Safety inspections

Diagnosing problems using various diagnostic tools and equipment

Maintaining service records of vehicles and inventory records of spare parts

Conducting quality checks on all work

Road testing vehicles

About You

Minimum 7 years’ relevant work experience

Able to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised

Have a high degree of manual dexterity, including precision work with small parts.

Wide knowledge of electrical systems, including developing technologies for driver safety.

Motivated and dedicated to updating and improving professional skills.

Meticulous worker who ensures that all repairs are high quality and comply with relevant standards.

Excellent communicator.

Ability to prepare electrical diagram for all in-house vehicle modifications to cover driver and vehicle safety

Adept at explaining technical issues to Staff and managers.

Able to pinpoint sources of malfunction and come up with targeted solutions.

Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.

Ability to work in confined spaces. Complex problem-solving skills.

Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment

Strong commitment to safety

Appropriate certification (Advanced Diploma of Automotive Electrical Technology - AUR50216 - or similar
