The Role

Our Quality Control and Garment Technician role works with our designers and is responsible for ensuring all garment and fabrications for our core and womenswear ranges meet RB Sellars standards. This role is based in our Burnley office and has access to highly experienced industry professionals for advice and guidance. If you are keen to learn from the best, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the designers the successful applicant will;

develop and complete all technical aspects of product tech packs and specifications

assess & measure all incoming fit & PP supplier samples

lead fit sessions

communicate changes, approvals on samples & spec with instructions for next submissions

establish and maintain block fits for key products

ensure the ensure critical path time-lines are met and any roadblocks identified and resolved.

complete reviews and testing of fabrics, components, patterns and measurements ensuring all products are fit for purpose and meet the RB Sellars quality standards

liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve fabric and style queries, and ensure the accuracy or care labels and information.

Skills & Experience:

Technical skills and knowledge

Min 2-5 years’ experience as a garment technician (technologist) and/or quality control coordinator - qualifications preferred

Sound knowledge of garment construction process, fabric types and relevant construction techniques

Pattern making experience preferred

Sound MS Excel

Familiarity with AS/NZ, Arpansa and quality assurance & standards

A proven track record of working with suppliers at source

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Good relationship builder with key internal stakeholders and suppliers
