We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Consumer Advisory Committee. This committee plays a vital role in ensuring that our services meet the needs of our consumers and the broader community. By advising on best practices, consumer trends, and improvements, you will help shape the future of mental health services.

Role Overview

As a Consumer Advisory Committee Member, you will collaborate with HealthBright’s leadership to provide strategic insights and consumer perspectives. Your role will involve engaging in once a month discussions, offering feedback, and advising on initiatives aimed at enhancing HealthBright’s services and offerings.

Your primary responsibility will be representing and advocating for the mental health community, ensuring that our services align with the needs of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Advisory Role: Provide valuable feedback on our healthcare services, client experience, and related areas.

Meetings: Attend quarterly meetings, participate in discussions, and complete any required reading.

Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive business strategies, patient information, and internal processes.

Public Representation: Represent HealthBright in a professional manner, protecting our reputation at all times. Your membership will be publicly acknowledged on our website and in other publications.

Our offer to you:

Communication: HealthBright will provide timely updates to ensure informed decision-making.

Resource Support: Necessary resources will be made available to enable you to perform your advisory role effectively.

Feedback Integration: We will consider and, where feasible, integrate your feedback into our operations.

Rate: $40 per hour for your time spent in meetings

Expenses: Reasonable expenses incurred during your involvement will be reimbursed (subject to approval).

You will have:

Proven lived experience or interest in healthcare or mental health-related fields

Ability to provide strategic insights and engage in constructive feedback.

Willingness to maintain confidentiality and act in HealthBright’s best interests.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and share ideas respectfully within a group environment

Ability to commit to attending regular committee meetings on Monday evenings between 6.00pm-8.00pm for at least an initial 12 month period

Previous advisory committee experience would be highly regarded
