Position Overview

• Workshop-based role with some regional or interstate travel 2-3 times a month.
• Inspections, preparation and welding repairs on heavy equipment booms.
• Crack repairs, including correct preparation of damaged areas for welding repairs to be carried out.
• Welding of high-grade, 690 grade steel.
• Reading plans and blue-prints.
• Assisting others in the workshop when required.
• Workshop ‘All-rounder’ assisting others, moving equipment, forklift operation etc.
• The ability to travel 2-3 times per month for away jobs.
• Interact with customers in a confident and professional manner.

Candidate Requirements

• Cert III Heavy Fabrication/Boilermaker/Welder.
• Coded/Certified Welder.
• Experience and ability welding high-grade steels.
• Knowledge and experience conducting crack repairs on machinery booms, highly regarded.
• An honest worker with a good work ethic.
• Happy to help other workshop jobs when required.
• Drivers license, HR highly regarded.
• The ability and willingness to travel within the state and beyond at times for work.
• Australian Citizen or PR.

On offer is an excellent Boilermaker position with a quality Heavy Equipment OEM who'll develop you and look after you in the long-term and pay you well in the short term. On offer are starting rates of $48-$57per hour plus over-time at penalty rates, allowances, super and training, PPE. Plenty of opportunity to boost the earning with overtime and some away work.
