We are pleased to offer the opportunity for Medical Registrar positions for Term 3 + Term 4 2025.
About the Role
You will be an important member of our clinical units by ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care to all patients. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to provide effective and efficient evidence-based care, whilst also demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Manage time effectively, organising daily workload through prioritisation, and demonstrate punctuality
- Use the principles of evidence-based practice, and access relevant current literature in making assessments and formulating management decisions
- Use clear communication with patients, with awareness of cultural, religious and gender difference
- Recognise the ethical complexity of medical practice, and follow professional and ethical codes
- Provide clear and comprehensive handover information to senior clinicians, colleagues, nurses and allied health professionals) in particular on very sick patients.
- Respect the leadership role and the varied other roles and responsibilities within a team
These positions will be suitable for applicants who have Medical Registrar experience at a BPT2 or BPT3 level.
There are a variety of rotations available including General Medicine, Geriatrics and subspecialty cover at our Regional sites - Werribee Mercy, Warrnambool Base.
Successful candidates will commence their post with SVHM on Monday 04 August 2025 - Sunday, 01 February 2026.
Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12 pro rata per annum) + salary sacrifice and excluding super
What you will bring:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience applying medical knowledge towards sound clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients
- Demonstrated effective communication with patients, relatives, staff and colleagues
- Knowledge and ongoing adherence to hospital safety policies
- National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
