About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Working across a range of sites—including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glenside Health Services, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, the Repatriation Health Precinct, and community-based services—you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering expert clinical care. You will provide advanced occupational therapy services while contributing to education, quality improvement, and service planning to enhance client outcomes across CALHN. Those with experience in geriatrics strongly encouraged to apply.
In this leadership role, you will coordinate and supervise daily clinical operations, provide mentorship and supervision to less experienced staff and students, and contribute to CALHN-wide projects through a dedicated portfolio. Your advocacy, specialist knowledge, and engagement in research and service evaluation will help shape and strengthen clinical practices. As a rotational position, you will bring your expertise and adaptability to various CALHN sites, playing a critical role in maintaining service excellence and driving continuous improvement.
About You
You are a highly experienced and adaptable Occupational Therapist with a strong clinical foundation and demonstrated leadership in complex health service environments. Your expertise in evidence-based intervention, multidisciplinary collaboration, and service development enables you to deliver impactful care while driving professional and organisational growth.
Hold an appropriate degree and be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
Extensive clinical experience in acute, sub-acute, and/or community settings, including complex client presentations and multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
Strong leadership, communication, and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to supervise, mentor, and collaborate across teams and agencies.
Sound knowledge of OT theory, evidence-based practice, and relevant legislation, with a commitment to service improvement, cultural competence, and quality care.
- Keen interest and or experience in geriatric population across acute and subacute environments.
