About the role
Vinmech is seeking a suitably experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tanunda, South Australia. This full-time role is responsible for the scheduled maintenance and repair of customer production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and downtime prevention. As a member of our team, you will play a vital part in supporting the overall efficiency and excellence of our operations.

Due to customer production requirements and machine availability, this role will be expected to work across a combination of weekdays and weekends with various day-shift hours. We understand the importance of work/ life balance and factor this into the roster to provide the best effective outcome to our employees and customers.

What you'll be doing

Perform preventative and corrective scheduled maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment.

Complete maintenance tasks individually or as part of a team across weekday and weekend hours.

Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement effective solutions.

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to proactively identify and address potential problems.

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Collaborate with customers and their departments to ensure efficient operations.

Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

Trade qualification or equivalent experience in a mechanical discipline.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically.

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively in various environments.

Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Adaptable and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
