This is for a Fixed Term Full Time appointment until 30th June 2027, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Child and Adolescent to join the Geraldton team in the Midwest.
To be successful, you will have...
- Experience in assessment, case management and therapy of children, adolescents and their families presenting with mental health problems at an advanced level.
- Knowledge and understanding of emotional, behavioural, psychological and psychiatric disorders of children and adolescents.
- Effective communication, liaison and interpersonal skills.
- Effective negotiation, problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in community work and liaison.
- Sound knowledge of WA Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
- Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers licence or other specialised licence class.
Position Profile: Provide a community-based child and adolescent mental health nursing service. Demonstrate competent nursing practice by delivering individualised care using a problem-solving approach to children, adolescents with mental health problems and their families.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations.
