Position Title: Senior Bookkeeper & CFO
Industry: Facilities Management/Strata Management & Pubs/Breweries
Location: Hybrid: Cremorne NSW / Working from Home.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the dual role of Senior Bookkeeper and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within our dynamic organization that operates in the facilities management/strata management industry and the pubs/breweries sector. This unique position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in financial management, cash flow management, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero accounting software and Deputy payroll software, and will play a pivotal role in driving our financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy:
· Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall business objectives of both facilities management and pubs/breweries.
· Provide high-level financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.
· Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Cash Flow Management:
· Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization maintains adequate liquidity.
· Prepare cash flow projections and ensure timely collections and payments.
Bookkeeping & Accounting:
· Oversee and manage all bookkeeping functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
· Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including payroll tax lodgements and compliance with relevant legislation.
· Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions.
Consolidated Reporting:
· Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
· Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance & Risk Management:
· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards relevant to the industry.
· Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the organization’s operations.
Team Leadership:
· Lead and mentor the finance and bookkeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes are efficiently integrated into operations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
· Minimum 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial management, ideally within the facilities management/strata management and pubs/brewer
