Now Hiring: Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioners – After Hours Service
Rumbalara is seeking committed and culturally sensitive Vocationally Registered General Practitioners (VR GPs) to join our After Hours Service team. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact in just a few hours each week—either on weekday evenings or weekends—while supporting improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Available Roles – After Hours Service:
Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioner
Part Time/ 5 Hours per Week / Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioner
Part Time: 16 Hours per Week / Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

About the Role
The General Practitioner (GP) is responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally safe, and comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients within a community-controlled health service. These After Hours roles help reduce barriers to care by offering services outside of standard business hours—including evenings and weekends.
About You
Qualifications and Registrations:
Registered to practice in Victoria as medical practitioner with AHPRA (without limitations)
Knowledge and skills:
Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Commitment to the principles of Aboriginal community-controlled health care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport with patients and community
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team
What We Offer:
Competitive salary range and conditions: $180p/h+ Saturday Penalty Rates (depending on qualifications and experience)
Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
