Medical Practitioner Role – Veteran Medical

This position is ideal for a Medical Practitioner (FRACGP or Non VR GP) seeking flexible, low-pressure work focused on veterans' health.

Contracted Position

$200 per hour

Open to non-VR GPs with relevant experience or FRACGP-qualified doctors

Approx. 2 full days per week (with the option to increase days and take on additional work as you progress)

Remote-style work with flexibility – short, scheduled calls within business hours

Your Role Will Include

Script Requests: Completing structured repeat prescription requests for patients enrolled in our Coordinated Veterans Care (CVC) Program. All requests come with a detailed outline and relevant clinical context for review.

RPBS Approvals: Contacting the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) to obtain approvals for RPBS-covered medications. This is typically done at the beginning or end of the day, every 2–3 days.

Brief, check-in-style phone consults with patients for these scripts. These are not time-pressured and can be conducted flexibly during business hours. No appointment booking needed.
