Hays Recruitment has partnered with a leading service provider who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced environmental services manager.

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing the environmental services team and overseeing the cleanliness, safety, and environmental compliance.

Duties will include:

• Oversee environmental services operations including waste, cleaning, and materials distribution.
• Address any service issues, manage complaints, and provide regular performance updates to management
• Conduct regular inspections and demonstrate an understanding of site service specifications for the environmental services department.
• Manage pest control, grounds and gardens, external subcontractors, and waste disposal contractors
• Lead, train, and support the environmental services team, ensuring alignment with healthcare policies and regulatory standards.
• Compliance with both internal and external audits
• Control departmental budgets and manage stock levels

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this role, you will:

• Proven experience in a similar services management role, ideally in a healthcare setting or experience working in a public setting
• Considerable experience in a leadership role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience managing and working with infection control policies and procedures
• Have a great work ethic and good problem-solving skills
• National police check, working with children check, Covid Vaccinations & Flu vaccination
