📅 Anticipated Contract Duration: 18 July 2025 – 17 January 2026

🕒 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Rotating Rosters)
Hudson is excited to be partnering with a prominent NSW Government organisation to recruit multiple Call Centre Operators to support a high-demand public-facing business unit within the Business & Building Regulation line.
These are full-time contract opportunities based in Gosford, offering the chance to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment where you can make a genuine impact on the community.
About the Role: You’ll be the first point of contact for inbound enquiries, providing accurate, timely, and courteous support across a range of services. If you’re customer-focused, tech-savvy, and thrive in a structured team setting – we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound customer enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner
- Accurately record information in internal systems and databases
- Communicate effectively via phone and email, adhering to service standards
- Apply policy knowledge and training to respond to varied enquiries
- Escalate issues appropriately while ensuring timely resolution
- Participate in ongoing training and development sessions
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years’ experience in a customer service role (call centre, retail, administration)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to navigate multiple systems with ease
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook and Teams
- Professional and reliable, with strong attention to detail
- Experience in a government or structured office environment is highly regarded
Training & Onboarding:
- Full-time onsite training for 8–12 weeks (35 hrs/week), classroom-style
- Contractors must attend all training days to ensure successful onboarding
- Supported "nesting" period following training before transitioning to independent work
Roster Details:
- You’ll work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Shifts rotate every two weeks (e.g. 8am start → 9am start → 10am start)
- No consecutive rotations on the same shift
Hybrid Work Consideration:
- These roles are not work-from-home from day one
- Hybrid may be considered post-training based on performance and business needs
- Contractors must attend the Gosford office at least one day per week
- Reliable high-speed internet and a smartphone are required for remote access (if hybrid is approved)
Additional Notes:
- Candidates must attend a 60–90 minute in-person assessment at the Gosford Contact Centre as part of the recruitment process
- You’ll be paid under the Modern Clerks Award – Grade 2 Year 2, with a competitive hourly rate slightly above Award

Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
