You're a registered Positive Behaviour Support Consultant and you've worked hard to hone your craft. They have grown their small team organically for the past five years and have recently experienced big growth. The close knit team now require a senior registered practitioner, proficient in providing clinical assessment and support plans, who can share their learnings and experience with the existing team-contributing to the collective success of the program.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client has been supporting locals with healthcare and wellbeing services for over twenty years. As a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner within the Positive Behaviour Support Team, you and the team will be providing clinical assessment and support for environmental stressors and lifestyle interventions for local people from Port Stephens to the Central Coast. Over three quarters of the teams' referrals come from their multidisciplinary network of quality health and service professionals including allied health, clinical care, GPs and other primary health care programs. Their reputation is for understanding individual needs and fostering positive outcomes for clients and your skills are key to the organisation continuing to go from strength to strength.
DUTIES
* Bring a wealth of expertise as a registered BSP, promoting holistic well-being and meaningful progress whatever your area of specialism
* Experience of functional behaviour assessments, positive /preventative strategies, data-driven decision making, teaching and developing new skills as well as various lifestyle interventions to tailor outcomes to the unique needs of each individual
*A collaborative team approach, and a desire to work within a team environment where each member thrives and collectively contributes to the program's success.
* Providing clinical assessment and care planning in collaboration with multi disciplinary peers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree qualifications in Social Work/Psychology or other Allied Health
• Registration or accreditation with the relevant professional body.
• Min. 2 years’ clinical experience
• Demonstrated experience in delivery of Positive Behaviour Support Strategies building on the individuals skills and strengths
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
• Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously within an NDIS framework.
• Skilled in the use of computers/clinical software including client management systems and Microsoft Office programs
• Evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19
• Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance
• Recent Criminal History Check
